Reliability and limitations¶
WoSIS harmonizes many source datasets, so original analytical methods, quality flags, access restrictions, coordinate precision, and transformations must remain visible. A standardized record is still not automatically comparable to every other record. OpenSoil will not mark WoSIS supported until a selected access path, licensing treatment, fixture set, normalization mapping, and live integration check are complete.
